Closing As A Colt...
AD & LOB...
It's Tampa Time...
UPDATES: AKEEM
December 2015 - AD has signed with the Indianapolis Colts! This is the 5th team he's played for this season (including pre-season) and the rarity of that mix was not lost on Akeem. "Most guys are lucky to get a call in the middle of the season. Just one call. Just one! I've been blessed to spend time with five teams and I've gotten better at each stop. Playing this game is a privilege, not a right, and I'm so thankful for this opportunity. God is good!"
December 2015 - Akeem signed with the Seahawks and is now the newest member of the Legion of Boom. When it comes to the LOB, he'll join the ranks of Richard Sherman, Cam Chancellor, and the talented squad that's been to the last two Super Bowls. For AD, it was an adjustment and an opportunity. "Seattle is on a whole different level. These guys have been in the Super Bowl twice for a reason! This is a great opportunity and I'm so blessed to be here!"
November 2015 - AD signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaners! "It's great to be back with some familiar faces. For multi-billion dollar industry, the NFL locker room really is a small, tight-knit family. I'm excited for the opportunity." Once again, AD shined on special teams, drawing attention for his hustle, heart, and nose for the ball.
October 2015 - Who Dat! AD signed with the de facto hometown team, by joining the New Orleans Saints. Located just three hours from Laurel, it was a veritable homecoming for AD. "It's great to be able to get back on the field and to do so just a few hours up the road is like a dream come true! I'm happy to be a member of Who Dat Nation!" Akeem made an immediate impact on special teams, as the Saints notched back to back wins.
Who Dat Nation...

August 2015 - Despite breaking his hand in training camp, AD never missed a snap and even played the first pre-season game (against the Browns) with a cast and fully wrapped club. Inspite of the injury, he pulled down the game-sealing INT to seal the win for the Redskins. Prior to the 3rd game, however, AD strained his hamstring and missed the final two games of the pre-season. On the final day of roster cuts AD was released with an injury settlement.

June 2015 - The Inaugural AD47 Football Leadership Academy was held in Laurel, MS on June 20 and was a huge success! AD provided a free, one-day, football skills camp for 53 underprivileged youth from across the Laurel region. Campers learned key football fundamentals, courtesy of a strategic partnership with Heads Up Football, a division of the NFL Foundation. With strong corporate support, media coverage, and community engagement, AD47 was an A+!
